The Local Church Network Model is the main vehicle used to carry out TDI program implementation. The strategy entail formation of zonal networks with leadership teams of 10-15 church leaders and pastors selected from within registered churches through which program implementation is directed. Under the Zonal network committee there are volunteers who are trained in various program interventions. The Zonal Network works in collaboration with VDCs and ADCs.
Governance Structure
The Council
This is the supreme body of the organization composed of 20 church leaders elected from local churches and meets once during the Annual General meeting to receive reports from the Board of Trustees. The council appoints the Board of Trustees and approves constitutional amendments.
The Board of Trustees
The TDI Board of Trustees is responsible for strategic leadership and governance of the organization, policy formulation and direction. The Board has nine elected members from several professional fields and church leaders. The Board hires the Executive Director and senior staff. The Board meets quarterly for reports updates, reviewing and planning.
The Secretariat
Headed by the Executive Director, the secretariat is responsible for program designing, planning, leadership, management, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. The Executive Director provides organizational strategic leadership and with the management runs day to day affairs of the organization.
Zonal Network Committee
This is a church network structure in the community responsible for project identification, planning and facilitation. The Zonal Network Committee work to help churches and communities to come up with demand driven social and development initiatives. The Committee works hand in hand with local leaders, VDCs and ADCs and the chairperson of each committee is an ADC member.
